This year the Independence Cup will be played between the First Division clubs only. The Champions beaten us by the score o 3-1. The final result is not fair for our Lions as they shared the play with their opponents. But what counts is the goals! Nadur opened the score in the first half by Anthony Portelli. Our Lions reacted for this goal and levelled the score in the opening minute of the second half by debutant Kenneth Mercieca. Nadur went ahaed again following a corner kick, scored by Chris Camilleri.
